Orkid Hotel Melaka - Malacca

I had a great solo travel experience at a hotel in the midst of the city center close to all the old town shops and major tourist attractions at Jonker's Street. the location was also very convenient, being close to Malacca sentral bus station. the room was clean and tidy, with a nice lounge setting that provided a working table. the staff at the front counter were friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which had a few choices and included in the affordable price. a pleasant stay with easy access to the places of attraction.

The internet connection in the room was quite poor and unstable.

The room is too much expensive as it is not satisfying at all. 1St day I've arrived, there is no coffee sachet, but the 2nd day I received it. But my friend's room didn't received it at all. She even didn't received it the day before together with news paper. It shows that your service is not at that very good level. The bed is sunken at the center, it smell awful, the toilet is so dirty. You even didn't throw the left over water in water heater. Your reception's staff is not friendly, didn't smile to guest and didn't greet the guest very well. Please improve and make worth of guest money. We pay for a good service. No mater how much we pay, it doesn't matter as u had open a hotel, you should give a good service Thank you.

The location is strategic, central city and walking distance to most of the tourist attraction spot

Pricey for such an old property, room is small and old, bathroom is uncomfortable and not presentable

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel's value for money. The prices were very affordable, especially considering the central location in the midst of the city center close to all the old "town shops". The staff provided excellent service, ensuring that all basic amenities were available in the rooms, including breakfast. Additionally, the rooms on level 9 offered a great view of the Taming Sari revolving tower.

All in all, my stay at this hotel was satisfactory.

Ample parking, good bed and aircon. friendly staff and accessible wifi facility. Near to city area.

Room is rather small and the bathroom door is too narrow for manoeuvring. The bathroom shower was slow and sometimes water was cold. Choice for twin bedded in booking was not given during check-in.

Not bad compare to the price

The hotel had affordable prices and a good location. It was conveniently situated near the popular attractions and we were able to explore the area easily. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with fast check-in and assisting us with any inquiries we had. The breakfast spread was satisfactory, offering a variety of options to choose from.

There were some drawbacks during our stay. The room we were given was in poor condition, with outdated furniture and worn-out towels.

Reasonable price.

With the same price but with the difference room size. Some is bigger and some is smaller. Especially the smaller room, it come with the very small toilet room. This make me uncomfortable.

Hotel rooms are fairly big and staff are helpful.

Breakfast needs some improvement.

I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, always available to assist with any requests or questions. They even helped with storing our luggage after checkout. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city center and close to all the old town shops. It was also near The Shore mall and the places of attraction. The cleanliness of the hotel was great and the breakfast was delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better stay.

For us, it was ideal.

Friendly staff

Beds were very hard, TV signal didn't work and quite a lot of noise from street.

We could walk into the centre of the city.

The neighborhood, the loud climatisation, the disgusting and poor breakfast buffet, the bathroom and the old and broken furnitures in the room.

Great hotel location, great service, friendly staff, helpful suggestions, clean and comfortable rooms.

Can't fault the hotel in any way.
